By accessing or using Tekgate (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

Tekgate provides a digital platform for researchers to document, showcase, and connect through their academic work. The Platform allows users to create profiles, upload research materials, and interact with other researchers.

3.1. To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

3.2. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.3. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.4. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.

You agree NOT to:

• Upload content that infringes on the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Upload plagiarized work or work that you do not have the right to distribute.
• Upload false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems.
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose.

5.1. User Ownership: Users retain full ownership of the research work they upload.

5.2. License to Tekgate: By uploading content, you grant Tekgate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating the Platform.

5.3. User Warranties: You warrant that:

• You own the content you upload or have obtained all necessary permissions.
• Your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
• Your content is accurate and lawful.

5.4. Tekgate Ownership: All Platform materials—including code, design, logos, and text—are the intellectual property of Tekgate and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

6.1. No Verification Obligation: Tekgate does not verify the originality of uploaded content. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their content does not infringe third-party rights.

6.2. Reporting Infringement: If you believe content on Tekgate infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to tekgate.org@gmail.com containing:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material to be removed.
• Your contact information.
• A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

6.3. Takedown Procedure: Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, Tekgate will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content.

6.4. Repeat Infringers: Tekgate reserves the right to terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tekgate, its founder, officers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including copyright infringement.
• Any content you upload.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TEKGATE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

• THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
• CONTENT IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR ORIGINAL.
• THE PLATFORM WILL BE FREE FROM VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
